It's a fine Saturday morning. There are too many people in the park. Some of are young. are old. Some people are playing games over there. Two boys are playingtheir yo-yos. A girl is flying a kite. Two children area toy boat. There is a lake in the park. The water is clean. There are someon the lake. Near the lake a young man is reading. There is a house near the lake. Beside(在…旁边) the house twoare working. A woman is watering the flowers. Look at that big tree. There are some birdsit. Under it are some men. Four of them are playing cards. One of them istwo cats climbing(爬)the tree. What do they want to do? They want tothe birds. Whatcan you see in the park?
At this moment in different places of the world people are doing different things.
In Beijing it's early morning. People are sleeping.
In London people are leaving work to go home. They are waiting for buses or running for trains. Some people are driving their cars. some are having afternoon tea at home or walking to the pubs(酒吧)to have a drink.
In Moscow(莫斯科) it's evening and people are having supper at home or in restaurants. Some are going to watch a balt(芭蕾舞). Some are drinking in the pubs. In Los Angeles(洛杉矶)it's morning. People are working in their offices. Children are starting their lessons.
New York is midday now. People aren't working but having lunch. They are eating hamburgers or hot dogs and drinking coffee or Coke. Some people are seeing friends or shopping.
The Dragon Boat Festival is a very important Chinese festival. It falls on June 25 this year.
People always think of Qu Yuan,a great poet(诗人)of Chu at the festival. Qu loved his country Chu very much. When Qin beat ChuQu wanted to die for(为…而死)his country. He jumped into the Miluo River in Hunan . People threw zongzi into the river to feed the fish. so the fish wouldn't eat Qu's body. From then on, every year on this day,people eat zongzi to remember Qu Yuan. But people in different places eat different kinds of zongzi. People in southern(南方的) China like eating meat zongzi. In the north,people often put red dates(红枣)in zongzi.
Dragon boat races(赛龙舟) are also an important activity. It is very exciting. Usually, a dragon boat is about 20 to 30 meters(米) long. This year, people in Guizhou made a very long one. It is 77. 8 meters long. It is the longest(最长的)one in the world.
People in many other countries also celebrate(庆祝) the Dragon Boat Festival. In Japan, people call it Boy s Day. In Singapore, people have dragon boat races every year, too.
World's Sauntering(漫步)Day is celebrated on June 19th every year. This special day is to tell us to take it easy, smell the roses(玫瑰花), to enjoy life. In 1979, it was first celebrated at the Grand Hotel in America. The Grand Hotel has the world's longest porch(走廊) at 203 meters in length(长度). The holiday was created by W. T Rabe. to celebrate the growing popularity of jogging(慢跑). The idea was to encourage(鼓励) people to enjoy the world around them.
This day wants to tell people that the happiness is around us everywhere if we choose to look for it. And let it grow in our hearts and in our lives.
You can spend your life walking through life. But life is far more enjoyable. If you love it, it can give love to you.

We drink tea every day. But more than three hundred years ago most of the people in Europe (欧洲) did not know anything about tea. Some people heard about it, but very few of them knew what to do with it.
There is a story about an English sailor(水手) who went to countries in the east, the west and the south. He went to India and China. One day he came home and brought(带回) some tea as a gift for his mother. She told her friends about the gift and asked them to a"tea party". When her Friends came to the"tea party",the old woman gave them brown tea-leaves(茶叶). The old woman's friends began to eatthem. Of course, nobody liked the tea-leaves.
At that time the sailor came in. He looked at the table and said , "Mother,what did you do with the tea?"
"I boiled it,as you said. "
"And what did you do with the water?"
"I threw it away(扔掉), of course, "answered the old woman.
"Now you may throw away the leaves, too"said her son.
