Winslow admires everyone involved in making the movie."6  of the people who worked on the special effects（特技效果） have done a great job .It's not just making Lyle look real，but making him a lovely character."said Winslow.

One day a police officer managed to get some fresh mushrooms.He was so pleased with what he had bought that he offered to share the mushrooms with his fellow officers.When their breakfast arrived the next day，each officer found some mushrooms on his plate. 

One officer looked at the mushrooms carefully and then suggested，"They look nice，but I heard that some mushrooms might be poisonous（有毒的）.Let's get Jimmy to examine a piece for us."Jimmy was the dog they kept.They brought it in，and fed it one piece of mushroom.The dog quickly ate it，and seemed to enjoy his mushroom.Fifteen minutes later，Jimmy was still alive and kicking without showing any discomfort.The officers were relieved（放心的）and began to eat their meal，saying that the mushrooms had a very strange but quite pleasant taste. 

However，an hour later，the gardener rushed into the room and reported in a sad voice that the dog was dead.The officers were astonished and their faces turned white out of fear.Immediately，they jumped into their cars and rushed to the nearest hospital.The doctors and nurses used pumps（吸物器）to help them get rid of the mushrooms that remained in their stomachs.Everyone had a hard time. 

When they returned to the police station，they sat down and started to discuss the mushroom poisoning.Each man explained the pains he had felt and they agreed that it had grown worse on their way to the hospital."The poor dog must have died a painful death，"said one officer."Let's ask the gardener how it died." 

So they called the gardener in and asked him more details about Jimmy's death.The gardener sighed and said，"Jimmy was a good dog.It is said that a car hit him in the middle of the road.But I guess it didn't suffer much.It died the moment it was hit."

Sand is widely used in glass-making and road-building.It is the second most-used after water in the world，the BBC reported.However，the UN said that sand is not limitless and that we might be running out of it. 

Sand is made up of very small pieces of rock，soil and minerals.It can take thousands of  to form，but now we are using sand too quickly.According to the BBC，we use about fifteen billion tons of sand every year to build houses，roads，etc.That is  to build a 20-meter-high by 20-meter-wide wall around the equator （赤道） every year.Can you believe it？

People  put sand into the sea to make new islands. Singapore， for example， is now 20 percent bigger than it was in 1965. Palm islands are three large man-made islands in Dubai， United Arab Emirates. They took 94 million cubic meters of sand to build. 

If people   using this much sand， it will run out in many places. For example， Vietnam may run out of construction sand by 2020， Live Science noted. 

Since people need so much sand， they are trying to mine （开采） more of it. But this is bad for the environment. Mining sand may cause beaches to  and more floods to happen in places close to the sea. Also， this will  affect the habitats （栖息地） of many plants and animals.

Today， people are using and abusing （虐待） their eyes more than people were twenty years ago． There are fewer and fewer people who have those bright， shiny and happy baby eyes． Most people， e young people， have tired eyes with dark circles around them because they look at the computer screen and watch TV too much． Here are some simple tips on taking care of your eyes：

￭ Make sure you wash your eyes with cold water， at least twice a day． This helps keep your eyes h and clean．

￭ If you're eyes feel tired after watching television or looking at the computer screen， apply some ice to your eyes and keep it there for at least 3 -5 minutes， and you will find the burning feeling is g．

￭ Give your eyes a rest and keep at least two days in a week when you don't touch the computer， and this will give your damaged eyes time to repair t and it will make you a lot fresher too．

Whenever you are outdoors， make sure you are protecting your eyes from bright sunlight and strong winds．

￭Have enough sleep． This generally differs from person to person． Some people need 8 hours sleep while others feel completely rested w hours． If you do so， dark circles around your eyes may r and your eyes will feel fresh after you have a good sleep．

Of course， you can also try out some medical s that are created for protecting the damaged eyes and prevention from future damage． These ways are helpful and you will feel relaxed and look attractive with bright， shiny and fresh eye．
