Mary likes to have very short hair. Her friends think that it looks like a boy's hair, but they never make jokes about it because Mary is a big, strong young woman and she doesn't think these jokes are funny. Mary always goes to the barber's shop （理发店）once two weeks to have her hair cut(理发) and washed. So she and the barbers（理发师） become good friends. But now, she doesn't come for a long time.
One day a woman with long curly hair came into the barber room. Of course no one recognized (认识) her. And the barbers were all surprised to learn that it was Mary. She said she would marry（结婚） very soon. And she said she was thankful for the long hair, because the long hair made her look like a real girl.
